| WACEMS guidelines for
funding education: The following policy identifies the guidelines
to be used by the Education Committee in recommending reimbursement from
WACEMS: |

1. |
No tuition reimbursement to be
provided for Initial Training at either the Basic, Intermediate or
Advanced level. |
|
2. |
Reimbursement for EMT – Basic refresher not
to exceed $ 275.00. |
|
3. |
Reimbursement
for EMT – Paramedic refresher no to exceed $375.00. |

4. |
No
student reimbursement to be provided for C.P.R., A.C.L.S., P.H.T.L.S.,
I.T.L.S., P.A.L.S. or P.E.E.P. courses.

If the student takes a course that is being paid
for partially or in full by either themselves or their employer, the
student or their employer are eligible for reimbursement up to the
approved amount.
If the student takes a course that is not being
paid for by their employer, the student may be eligible for
reimbursement up to the approved amount.
WACEMS will
continue to subsidize training programs throughout the Western Region |
